'Made in England’ is synonymous with the very best craftsmanship the world over and our partnership with Cotswold Caners is no exception. Cotswold Caners is based in the heart of the Cotswolds, in Cirencester, with over 30 years experience designing and making furniture. Traditional craft skills are used alongside modern methods, which mean they can design and make any wooden bed, headboard or footboard to suit individual requirements. “If it’s wood, we can make it” is Cotswold Caners’ by-word.

All bed models are custom-made and are constructed in solid wood (English Ash) and properly cared for will look as good as new for many years. Wooden headboards can be panelled wood, cane, solid wood, or even upholstered to enhance their elegance (please see our page on P and C Upholstery or fill out our enquiry form). The cane may be natural or stained according to the customers taste.

With our expert knowledge and experience, we will be able to help you choose the best mattress for your bed. This coupled with our unique ‘from factory to bedroom’ service will ensure that your purchase runs smoothly, regardless of your location.

All the designer wooden beds have top-quality curved laminated sprung slat bases. These provide extremely good support, as well as comfort. If you want to adjust the firmness yourself, adjustable slats can be provided at a modest additional cost.

You can choose a designer wooden bed with a headboard and a footboard, a bed with a headboard but no footboard, or a bed with no headboard or footboard (sometimes called a bed base). We can also provide bed base surrounds and bed base supports. Other special adjustments can often be accommodated and you can discuss these directly with a British Beds Worldwide Director. Through our strong relationship with Cotswold Caners, we aim to provide a solution to all your possible wooden bed requirements.
